Recensione: Flawed Heart by Bella Jewel

Buon giovedì :D
Alluuur, cominciamo con la prima delle tre recensioni in attesa, ovvero il bellissimo Flawed Heart di Bella Jewel, autrice da tempo nella mia Top Autori. GR mi informa che l'ho letto dal 6 all'8 settembre. ALT. Due giorni?! Uh la la, questo dice tutto, non vi pare? Quando Chiara la lumaca divora un romanzo, allora significa che mi ha stregato *_* questo standalone (il secondo romanzo della duologia ha protagonisti differenti) ha riportato la luce nelle mie letture!

Struggente e così passionale.

E dopo sei – no, rendiamoci conto, SEI – letture mediocri o non portate a termine, finalmente arriva Bella Jewel a salvarmi! E che salvataggio, ragazzi :D

Fin dal prologo ho capito che questo romanzo mi avrebbe assestato un bel montante, perché anch'io a volte sento il disperato bisogno di scrivere a colui che mi ha distrutto il cuore e dirgli che . . .

 Max,
 c'è una cosa che ho bisogno di dirti. È importante. Non so come farlo, ma è fondamentale che tu sappia. Lei merita di averti, anche se non voglio che sia così.

Sono rimasta impressionata dall'intensità che lega Anabelle (Blue Belle per lui) e Max. Sono come due magneti che non hanno la forza di stare lontani. Che non vogliono stare lontani.

Eppure.

Ana lo ha abbandonato. Se n'è andata d'improvviso.
È successo qualcosa.
Qualcosa che ha cambiato il suo Max e gliel'ha portato via.

Ora sono passati cinque anni.
CINQUE. ANNI.
E quello che c'è tra di loro non è mai svanito, e mai svanirà, perché a lui basterà compiere quel gesto – il loro gesto – per riportarla a sé.

Abbassa la fronte e la preme sulla mia.
Smetto di respirare.

Ma c'è un piccolo particolare che Max non aveva previsto. Il motivo per cui Belle è tornata nella sua vita dopo così tanto tempo.

Non mi sarei mai aspettata la reazione che sta avendo.
Non l'avrei mai immaginata.
Non l'avrei mai prevista.
Max guarda me, poi Imogen.
E in seguito si gira e se ne va.
Il mio cuore va in mille pezzi.

Ho amato molto i flashback del passato, dal loro primo incontro al college al giorno in cui tutto cambiò.
In cui Max le disse che non la amava più.

Ma stava davvero dicendo la verità? O ciò che gli era accaduto era troppo devastante per poter continuare a vivere accanto a una creatura dagli occhi blu che per lui era il sole?

 «Hai mai pensato che dirmi della bambina avrebbe potuto salvarmi?»
 Il mio cuore si squarcia.
 «No, non l'hai fatto, perché ti eri già arresa con me».

Una storia struggente e passionale come solo Bella Jewel sa creare. Due anime che si appartengono, ma che sono state separate da un tragico evento del destino, che ha messo alla prova il loro amore.
Un amore troppo giovane che, allora, crollò.

Non rimane niente.
Non sento niente.
Voglio morire.

Una chicca per gli amanti dei romanzi second chance ❤

Per tutti coloro che hanno perso l'amore e sono stati tanto fortunati da trovarlo di nuovo.

Alle seconde possibilità e ai romanzi epici che ci fanno mancare il pavimento sotto i piedi.
